The B-I-B-L-E

Yesterday my boys were singing the B-I-B-L-E in the jeep on the way to wresting practice. I LOVE that this song is timeless. I loved singing it as a kid as well.
Will's version goes like this...
"The B-LIE-B-LIE-Lee
yes thats the book FER me
I stand a LONG on the word of God
the B-LIE-B-LIE-Lee"

Raleigh knows all of the "correct" words but he is a little confused on the concept of versions of the Holy Word.
The boys attended a VBS this summer where at the end of the song they yell out, "King James Bible"! Mike of course loved this and really loves it when Ral yells it out at the end. The first time Ral sang the song yesterday, however, it went like this..
"The B-I-B-L-E Yes that's the book for me. I stand alone on the Word of God - the B-I-B-L-E
ST. JUDE'S BIBLE

I guess we've watched one too many Mario Thomas infomercials on TV....

Growing up

2 signs that Raleigh is growing up....
1. The other morning he got up and said, "Mom, can you get me on Google Maps?" (I remember the days of logging onto PBSkids or NickJr!)
2. While I was getting ready this morning, Ral walks over to his Dad's side of the sink and says, "Mom, can I shave?"

Santa's list

Will lost his coat at school today. When he realized it wasn't in his cubby he started crying and said, "Oh no! Now I have a lost coat!"
When we got ready to leave it was pretty cold outside. Ral looked at his brother and very sweetly said, "Here Will...you can wear my coat."
Ral took his coat off and helped his brother put it on.

I was touched and commented on how sweet that was.

Ral looks at me and says, "I just did it to be on the nice list because I want a lot of presents."
