My boys and spaghetti

Tub Fun!

2 years ago today.....

I went to the OB for my last pregnancy visit. Later, when I came home, I discovered my fridge had died, so my inlaws came over and bagged everything from my fridge/freezer and took it to their house. The Duke/Carolina game was on that night, so Mike stayed up late. I was up and down all night going to the bathroom, as usual. The last time I woke up, I discovered we were almost too late to get going to Boone! I showered quickly and we made it there in time.
I remember as I was changing that this would be the last time I was pregnant. I wanted to savor the moment...but was ready to meet my baby boy.

Will's birthday is tomorrow.

Happy Birthday, my baby boy. I love you, my son. You are so precious to us. Your blue eyes and curly blond hair makes people stop and look. You are still a snuggler at heart and still sometimes just beg for, "hug, hug".

You are entering a fun.....and not so fun for us age....but we will go through it happily.

As with most holidays and special occasions, my thoughts turn to my daddy. How I wish he was here to see Will. I wish that tomorrow we would get a phone call from him saying Happy Birthday. I wish we would get a card from him in the mail signed "Grandpa Doug" and he would send money for his savings bond.

I wish...I wish....I wish.....

I know my Daddy would have just loved Will to pieces...like we all do.
