Stuck in mud

Anytime Ral hears a siren or sees a school bus that isnt moving he informs me that they are "stuck in mud". I have no idea where he gets this stuff from. He then starts to tell me how he has to help them and PULL them out. He uses whatever is handy at the moment, in the van it was his sippy cup. He holds the item out and pretends to pull it out of the mud. He'll pull back and pull back, then he'll go forward a little. All the while he keeps telling me "I trying, mom. I trying!" Finally he announces, "I did it!" And we all rejoice b/c Raleigh has pulled the school bus or fire truck out of the mud.

Hooray Ral!

My friend

I put Ral in the bed in his room with me the other morning so we could get a little more sleep before school. He usually chatters a bit before going back to bed. He kept saying "Fre" to me as a question. I finally figured out he was asking me, "friend". So, I told him yes, he was my friend. So sweetly he hugs me and says, "My friend, my friend".

I love this kid!!

Growing Up!

My little boy is growing up so much lately. His words are becoming clearer. He used to call yellow "LOW-EE", now it sounds like yellow. He is putting many words together. "Come here, mom" "Feed Odie" "Boo Boo Hurt Kiss" "Hit wall" "Want chip"
So many words and phrases! He is really counting now! Last night he wanted my coke that I had put on the entertainment center. He got the three cushions off the couch and put them in front of the entertainment center so that he could try to climb to the top to get my coke. As he was walking on the cushions he was counting and got to 8!! Everything now has just been 1, 2, or 2, 1 or just 2. When we take him to SS he doesn't cry anymore. He is in the 2 year old room and is getting adjusted to it quickly! Ral loves to be outside. He enjoys jumping on the couch, petting Odie, watching Spongebob and Barney, and playing with his cars which he lines up. What a precious boy we have. We are definitely blessed.
