Ral is Santa!

Yesterday Ral decided to dress up as Santa. He had me help him find a red shirt. He figured out on his own to stuff it with sheets and Will's bedspread! (That's what is sticking out at the bottom.) He has no red pants, so I found a pair of too tight shorts from a sleep set. He then insisted on his shoes and a bag full of toys. He went Ho HO HOing through the house, put his brother on the naughty list, and made him cry.

Fun in the snow!

Christmas talk

We are staying at a beach house with my sister again for Christmas. Ral saw the pics of the rooms with 2 bunkbeds in it and got really excited. His plan is for all of our family to stay in the same room in the bunkbeds!!! Nevermind the fact that there are 5 bedrooms in this house. I LOVE how a 6 year old thinks!

On Sunday we are having the Combs Christmas party at ME's house. Lois told Will that it is going to be a birthday party for Jesus. Will said, "I hope he wants a remote control robot!" He tells me he's going to buy him one from Toys R Us.
Will is also excited about the new show coming on TV called "Prep and Landing" although he keeps insisting that its "CRAP and Landing"!

4 years

Today is 4 years since my Daddy died.
4 years.....
It seems like much longer than that really.
I asked Ral last night if he remembered Grandpa Doug. He told me, "Yeah. I have pictures with him. That's how I remember him."
So, no real memories now...only through pictures.
How thankful I am for every picture I took of Ral and my daddy. He would have LOVED Ral's love of trains. No one can resist Ral's enthusiasm for life.
Likewise, how much would he have loved Will's sweet spirit? I know Will would have been as sweet and precious to him as he is to everyone.

4 years....

Thank you daddy for the last few years before you died. Thank you for making the effort to make things better between us. Thank you for the calls, the cards, and for being daddy and Granpa Doug.
Thank you Heavenly Father for the last few years with my daddy. Thank you for the assurance that I have that he is with you now. Thank you for salvation.
