T-Rex cafe

We are in Florida enjoying stage 2 of our vacation. The first day in Orlando we went to the T-Rex cafe in Downtown Disney. Our boys love dinosaurs...especially Raleigh, so we couldn't go wrong...right???
The place was decorated with dinosaurs all over. The lighting was neat and the dinosaurs made noises the whole time. We were told they had a meteor shower ever 20 minutes.
This is where our boys changed drastically. In true Will fashion..he freaked out. The sky got dark, the noise got louder, but it wasn't really scary. Will thought it was the end of the world. He spent the entire meteor shower clinging to me for dear life. He has spent the rest of the trip telling us he didn't want to go to the "Dinosaur Cafe" b/c of the "median" shower. When we went to Downtown Disney again, he made it very clean to us that he was NOT going there again.

Raleigh, on the other hand, absolutely loved it. He pumped his fists in the air, hooted, hollered, and smiled the entire time. He really reminded me of Lieutenant Dan during the boat scene in Forest Gump.

Mike and I enjoyed the T-Rex cafe. Maybe Will can join the family next year in enjoying it.

Phone

Will has a toy phone he is playing with right now. He just told me, "Im going to do my phone number when I grow up." I asked him what his phone number is. He answered, "M-O-M" :) If he only knew how correct this was, at the age of 3!

Go Speed Racer!

Will loves to pretend he is Speed Racer in his red car. He rides along in it singing the Speed Racer song.

Raleigh's new haircut!

A Day Out With Thomas

Thomas is back at Tweetsie this week. I took the boys last night. At the end of our first ride with Thomas, there was a downpour like I haven't seen in a while. We stayed on the train and took another trip around. We stood for a while, then moved all around trying to find a spot that wasn't soaked.
We went back as a family this morning. Its amazing how crowded and crazy Tweetsie can get during Thomas week. Mike and Ral rode the Tilt-A-Whirl together. Will and I rode the Merry-Go-Round. He likes to ride the "couch" on it...he's too scared to ride the horses :) Of course we got to see Sir Topham Hat as well. It was a good day.

Milk

Last night Raleigh was driking milk, eating on one of the 2 cakes he made with the babysitter yesterday. I heard him go to the fridge and I figured he was getting himself some more milk. At supper time, he had been so proud of himself for getting more kool-aid "without spilling even one drop." The milk jug was almost empty, so I didn't worry about him pouring it.
A few seconds later he comes in the office and tells me, "Mama..I got some milk myself and mama....this is BAD milk."
I knew exactly what he had done.
I had a pint of whipping cream in the fridge from making cinnamon buns yesterday morning. Ral poured himself a full cup of heavy whipping cream, took one sip and now knows that milk is milk..leave the other stuff alone!

Cat in the Hat

The other night Will started talking about The Cat in the Hat. He was blaming the Cat for everything. He came in and told me, "The Cat in the Hat did it again, mama." I assumed he had done something wrong and wanted to put the blame on someone. I also assumed that Mike must have read that book to them again recently.

I was wrong on both counts.
After the boys played with bath markers and bath crayons the other night, there is now a red ring in our tub.
Im impressed that Will remembered the Cat in the Hat and wanted to blame him for it!

Shopping

When I got home yesterday, Will asked me where we were going. I told him we were going nowhere. He said, "Not Walmart?" No, Will. "Walmart is closed?" Yes Will.
"How about Hardees?" No Will "Hardees is closed?" Yes Will.

Why Will wants to go to Walmart and Hardees, I have no idea.

A mess

Will has made a royal mess of the playroom/office. He just drug out his broken toy car that he rides around, acting like he is driving the "Mark 5". I told him that he made a mess. He yells back to me, "I fixed it!" I tell him that he didn't, just to look around the room. He yells back to me, "Well pretend I fixed it!!!"

I guess if I close my eyes and pretend the mess is gone...it will be!
