A sweetheart

My son can be very wild at times. Very mean occasionally too. But sometimes..he is just a total sweetheart.

Friday night I was watching "Three Wishes" on TV and just cried and cried over those soldiers getting new houses. (I guess its partly b/c of the hormones!) Ral was very concerned. He kept coming up asking if I had a boo boo. Telling me it was "all-white" and to "feel better". He even patted my head a few times when he told me not to cry..of course he says "No pwhy".

Yesterday morning we were all playing in the bed. Raleigh starts hugging my head and says "Love mom" "Love mom". Totally unprompted. I had not been saying anything to him when he did this.

My heart melted as it does so often with Raleigh. I am so in love with my precious boy!

Red Light Stop

Raleigh knows that a red light means stop, green light means go, and yellow lights mean to go fast!! :-)
Whenever Ral wants me to stop doing what I'm doing he'll say, "Stop Mom...stop." (Of course he says this without the "P" sound on the word. When I ask him why he says, "Red light Stop!" Ill tell him I don't see a red light. He points to anything and says, "It right there!"

Too cute

Birthdays

Yesterday on the way to church I told Raleigh that it was almost Daddy's birthday!! His response...
"Oh, mine too!"

Thursday Thankful Day

Things I am thankful for:

1. My salvation. The fact that the Lord never changes and knows everything in my life.
2. A wonderful husband. I prayed for many years to have a husband. I got the man of my dreams and so much more. He is truly a gift from God.
3. Raleigh. No one could have ever prepared me for all the love I feel for my son.
4. My mama. What an inspiration she is. My heart still aches for her to be able to do what she did before.
5. My in laws. What a gift from God they are as well. They have been so good to me - expecially in matters concerning mama. The Lord worked everything out so perfectly when he put Mike and I together. I didnt know at the time what would happen to Mama and the help I would need, but He did and provided me with wonderful in laws.

Talking up a storm!

Ral is talking up a storm now. He's never been a quiet kid...but he is really doing some talking now! He is talking in sentences a lot. I still have trouble understanding him sometimes, but most of the time I can interpret for people. Even Mike has trouble knowing what he is saying!

I never imagined how precious my son's voice would be. When he wakes up he says, "Time Wake Up" in just the cutest voice imaginable.

Whenever I am hurting or crying he is so compassionate and tells me "No Pwy Fee Be-ah, aw - white" (No cry, feel better, its alright)

What a great son I have.

He is Mike's son!

I went to see my mama this past weekend. My mom in law and Ral went with me. The first night at the nursing home Ral wants a cup of water and spills it everywhere. We go to the bathroom to get paper towels and I have him help me clean it up. He does pretty good! Its a big mess so we have to go back for more. We come back out and clean up the mess some more.

As soon as he is done he looks at Grandma Lois, who he calls ME, and says, "Me, tummy hurts....back hurts" and holds his tummy and back while he gets a pitiful voice. ME had to rub his back and he was better.

Yep...just like his Daddy! He can only handle cleaning in small doses and it just about kills him! :)
