Where does the time go?
Ral had his hair cut almost a month ago, and I am just now blogging about it! Things get busy. I'll try to blog more often.
He was GREAT for his first haircut. We were worried he would pitch a fit, but he sat in my lap like a big boy and never cried or fussed! The girl that cut it did a great job. She layered the back, so it looks like he has more curl than before! The front and top was where the mess was. A month later, the mess is almost back again! I guess he has fast growing hair!
Raleigh is getting bigger and cuter all the time! He says PLEASE almost all the time he wants something. We are now working on Thank You, and he is even beginning to say that unprompted as well! This is a HUGE deal to us b/c when you asked Ral to say please a month ago, he screamed his guts out and backed away from you. A few minutes later you would probably get a PLEASE....but it had to be on HIS terms:)
2 weeks ago he finally said Love YOu. He said it to daddy first. Mike does a sign language thing with his hands when saying I love you to Ral. He's done it since he was born. That day I was sitting on the bed with Ral when Mike was leaving. Mike told him I love you. I told Ral to say I love you. He pointed to daddy, the way daddy points to him, and said Wuh Wooo. He then looked at his finger pointed and said "Get!" He tells the dog to Get and points at him, so I guess he thought that if you point, you say Get!
What a beautiful sound from my sweet boy, hearing him say Wuh Woo. At his grandparents one day he told Grandma and Grandpa that the loved them. Grandpa said love you too. Now when he leaves he tells Grandma Wuh Wooo and looks at Grandpa and says with the same voice, Tooo Tooo (for Love you too).
His vocabulary has absolutely exploded in the 2 months I wrote down all his words. I wouldnt be able to list them all now!
When I am here he says Hey or Hi to me 40,000 times I think. He will come up every so often and look at me and say Hi Ma or Hi Mommy or Hey.
Ral is a true mama's boy. I can't go far without him screaming his guts out for me. Sometimes a simple trip to the kitchen, where he can see me will elicit that response.
I need to enjoy this time more b/c I know that it will be gone before I know it.
What a sweet little boy I have.
